Privacy Policy

This site is run by Linsey Jones trading as Inspiring ELF, who is the data controller for your personal information. That means Linsey Jones decides how your information is used and is responsible for keeping it safe.

What we collect and why

We collect your email address and your account details (such as your name) when you create an account. We use this to set up your account, give you access to what you buy and support you when you ask for help.

We keep a record of what you have bought, taken from our payment provider Stripe, so we can show you your downloads and chat replies in your account.

If you join our email list or buy a product, we add your email to our email platform, Systeme.io, so we can send you what you asked for and occasional updates about Inspiring ELF. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.

Messages you write in the Calm Day Chat are sent to an AI provider to create replies, and saved to your account so you can see past chats. You can delete your conversations at any time.

Our reasons for using your information

For your account, your purchases and the chat, our legal reason is that we need your information to carry out the contract with you, in other words to give you what you paid for. Keeping your account and the site secure is a legitimate interest. Sending you emails you asked for, such as the free activities, is based on your consent, which you can take back at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. We only process what we need, and nothing here requires you to share sensitive information.

Who we share information with

We share the minimum needed with the companies that help us run the shop: Stripe (our payment provider, which also acts as the seller of record on most orders and handles payments, invoices and tax), Systeme.io (our email platform) and an AI provider (to generate chat replies). We may also share information with professional advisers such as accountants, and with authorities if the law requires it. We never sell your data.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account information, purchase history and saved chats for as long as your account is open, so you can keep using the site. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, unless we need to keep some of it, for example basic purchase records for accounting and tax purposes, which we keep for six years as UK law requires. Newsletter contacts stay on the list until you unsubscribe, then their details are removed.

How we keep your information safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information: passwords are stored securely (we never see them in plain form), traffic to and from the site is encrypted, and access to your data is limited to the people and systems that need it to run the shop. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our systems.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop using it, by emailing linsey@inspiringelf.co.uk. You can also unsubscribe from our emails at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
